ok nvm. i took it down to check, happens to be the cheap pad's glue melts and the metal plate behind the pad come loose.
it wont come off due to the hook behind it, so it just kept knocking left and right when i apply light braking.
its just the "safety inspection" asked me to change the pads right away last year when i register the car. had no choice.
