Drag racing Ms3 owners att

Truboost can you tell me where you got your slicks from and what kind/size are they ? What Rims are you running them on? i know what driver311 runs are your simuliar ?

Now as far as custom axles. Me like others on here do their own work on their cars. no one touchs my car but me. plus i work as a tech for a mazda dealer so i even have alittle bit of a advantage. How ever with custom axles. you'd have to be pushing some power or be launching really hard to break a axle unless they're crap. I ran Full slicks a bunch on my old project car that was FWD. It was a 97' Civic coupe with a fully built GS-R motor running a T4 hot side 60-1 turbo. just a quick describtion of the car but i ran pep boy axles on it with a factory LSD trans rota slip streams and full slicks. I pre loaded my axles everytime before i launched and several of my other friends do the same and are running basicly stock axles and none of us have yet to brake or snap a axle up to the time i got rid of the car and my friends still have theirs and race them almost every weekend they can and still no snaps yet ( KNOCK ON WOOD ). The two other cars are low 11's and my civic when i had it finished and tuned on slicks was consitantly 11.8, 11.9's on barely any boost.

I got rid of it cause i was tired of honda's and had been messing with them for too long and love my speed3 but even with every bolt on i can think of JUST BOLT ONS if i had everysingle one on stock turbo and stock boost for the most part i can't see the car pushing more power then my old civic or my friends fwd cars. yes my old car and my friends are track queens fully built motors big turbos and are RARELY ever driven on the street but basic stock axles have worked fine for those cars and we all pre load so i'm guessing my mazda should work the same as long as i stick with my decent driving and pre loading. Yes upgraded axles give you that less likely hood of snaping one but for me i'd rather snap a cheap axle and just replace it then screw up my transmission but if your a good driver you should not do neither unless of course your pushing serious power and toqrue and then of course stock axles will never hold up.

Really the only people i see snaping axles are people at the track that rev the crap out of their cars and just dump the clutch. car grips specially if it's got a open diff and then of course SNAP. I was at imports vs domestics last year and saw a guy in a FWD car with i think they were stage 3 axles. don't know they were silver with green axle boots. HE sheeard and snaped off the outter spline shaft that goes into the outter hub. i have no idea how people do that with that axle but i guess people just never to learn how to drive and launch alittle better. I don't think my Speed 3 will need upgraded axles till atleast i have a big turbo.

CF axles would be awesome. i'd like to see them to that even though i don't want to see the price on it or those bad boys. if CF can handle and protect a F1 car at over 200MPH i think it's strong enough for our cars

The Shaft Shop, its in Cal. I believe. They warranty their parts based on horsepower Heard good things about quality but you pay for what you get. I thought our shafts were an upgraded unit. True ? Im sure there are plenty more shops though. When it breaks upgrade!
