I talked to ATP they said they will release their Downpipe for MSP3 in march/april. Is there another dp on the market right now?

I would like to squeeze out everythink out of the ko4. The only way ias to install a 3" downpipe i think.

So my plan is to install:

xede
3" downpipe
ic upgrade
Autoexe catback

and than i will tune it up (cool)

I think there is no need to install a CAI. Maybe a BOV recirk for sound issues.

What do you guys think?

we have a few exhaust announcements to make this week. we think people will be happy with them :)

Thats nice.

Do you know where I can find a manual for the harness instalation for the Xede?

Excellent. I really hope a performance exhaust is made that isn't any louder than stock for the MS3. 6 years of a Magnaflow X-pipe and Borla cat-back have me yearning for a quiet ride. Well, not TOO quiet.

I wouldn't go with the Autoexe cat back. It is expensive and you have to go through Corksport, which isn't a bad thing, and with what I have seen on Miata applications, their products don't seem to deliver for the price. I would hang out for CP-E or COBB parts because they will be developed for the locally marketed car and be of a potentially more useful quality.

i'm told its done and ken is looking to get it dynoed !!

yes the turbo back exhaust is done and on the car. we'll release pricing, pictures, dynos and the whole nine yards this week. the car took much longer than we had hoped for a variety of reasons. the primary o2 sensor was crossthreaded into the downpipe and we broke three wrenches trying to extract it. eventually we needed to order a sensor and found that it was in no warehouse. luckily, one dealer in the united states - just one - had one and sold it to me, sending it UPS as we speak. there were issues with clearancing on the downpipe, sourcing a proper flange for the turbocharger, clearance of the high flow cat, clearance of the muffler. we learned alot about the car while working on it and going back and forth with mazda. we know what the competition intends to charge and we intend to be competitive on both price and component quality. we'll offer systems with and without high flow catalytic converters and will do a group buy for those interested in buying them at a discount for the early adopters.

We will have just DP for those that want one in 2 to 4 weeks and then we will have complete cat back, turbo back (with and with out cat). We will not be realeasing product details but there will be full dyno testing of every system that we offer as well as CAI, FMIC, and a turbo upgrade that doesn't make the car set codes but should add a great deal of power. Then we will be working on the super secret fuel systems that will not require the PCM in order to be controlled so you can have control of fuel for additional boost. Lots and lots to come from PTP here over the next few weeks.

And on top of that Corksport has about $100 mark up on everything they sell from Auto EXE.

If you plan on doing the DP you had better have the better part of a day set aside. I have taken mine off 2 times now and it a real pain. We should have a one piece DP as well as a 2 piece for thost that done want to tackle the unit that bolts up to the turbo.
