I emailed www.thespeedline.com for the double-din dash kit from Taiwan and finally received a response from them. Delivery time is 10 business days from Taiwan to Canada.
I asked them if they have discounts for buying more than one.
They responded by saying they are willing to sell the double-din dash for $139 USD instead of $149 and willing to ship for $50 USD. I guess the big savings is in the shipping as their website shows a charge of $50 for a single order, so ordering two and still having to only pay $50 from Taiwan to Canada is somewhat of a savings.
They only gave me til this Friday to respond and pay.
If anyone in Canada is interested, let me know and I may order a 2nd one. We can split the shipping, import duties/taxes and the cost of re-shipping it to the 2nd Canadian destination. If there are more than a few people, then I may not want to bare the upfront costs of the double-dins, so people may have to PayPal me the money up front.
Let me know by Thursday and I'll decide if its worth it for the multiple orders.
I also found someone in Cali who is willing to sell the double-din dash for $130 US but I didn't ask if it came with the hardness which thespeedline.com seems to include. Delivery time for the Cali source is 5-7 weeks though.
