Hello car ICE Gurus. I am looking to get my hands on a 2-DIN cage so that I can use it to modify my exisitng Xenarc 700IDT VGA screen for a flush dash installation, instead of sticking out like it does now. Here is how it looks now sticking out about 2 inches!!:

I want to make it look a little like this:

By taking the inside guts (below) out of the screen:

<a href="http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m296/LinuxRacr/Car/Carputer_2007/?action=view&current=DSCF2624.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m296/LinuxRacr/Car/Carputer_2007/DSCF2624.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

And putting them into something like this:

<a href="http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m296/LinuxRacr/Car/Carputer_2007/?action=view&current=2-DIN_Cage.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m296/LinuxRacr/Car/Carputer_2007/2-DIN_Cage.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Anyone know a good place to get one?

I wouldn't use that cage for it, those things are so freakin flimsy.

I am wondering if the height would even work on that screen, looks like it is taller than a double din.

new screen ftw... do it like elementals... I always loved his setup.

;)

Anyone have a stock double-din radio for a Protege that doesn't work anymore?

I just bought the VGA screen below, and need something to attach it to:

Here's a mobile phone pic of the finished product below. I used the Metra 99-7505 dash kit, and some 4mm machine screws with washers from Home Depot so secure the screen to the dash kit.
