Door won't lock/ unlock w/ physical key!

About a month ago I locked my keys in my car so had to have a locksmith get them for me. Since then, my door lock won't work when I use the physical key, not the remote. The remote works fine, locks/ unlocks perfectly. I took it to a dealership and they said without taking the door panel off, they don't know whats wrong. I talked to a friend that is a Mazda nut, he said he's never heard of this problem with any type of car.
So is there anyone out there that's had this problem, if so what was the fix?
Oh, and the locksmith used his tools on the passenger door, not the driver, so I have no idea why the lock isn't working.
Any help would be amazing!!!!

Try another key.

you are definitely going to have to pull the door panel, but dont go to the dealer, try an audio shop.
