Don't flame, I need 16"s for the MP3, ARD???

I'm wondering if anyone has put 16" rims on their MP3?
I am hoping to get a set of 16x7s, camber plates, and adjustable struts and possibly springs. I am tired of running autocrosses and having to change tires. I'm basically getting lazy, so I want to move to STS. I would like to run the 215/45/16 Azenis.
Has anyone else tried this with any success? Just trying to figure out what offset it would take to keep it from rubbing. Everything I have done so far has been on 49 offset rims with 205/40/17 tires. They work ok, but the MP3 just isn't competitive in GS anymore, and I'm getting tired of having to push too hard.
Any recommendations appreciated!

It doesn't exactly match your stated intention, but I run 15x7 (+45 ) Kosei K1 wheels with 225/50/15 Victos on my MSP. The overall tire diameter is ~1" smaller than stock, but it's pushed out from under the fender due to the offset and wider tires. I did experience slight rubbing (fender I think) only over very HARD bumps when testing them out on the street, but nothing on the track so far (these are track wheels only for me :D).

Peace...(hippy)

cjstringer - you may want to try looking @ the Rota Slipstream or Attack, both are a decently light wheel in the 16" set-up. Running the 215/45/16 Azenis would be nice. These are both +45mm offset in the 5x114.3, you may want to have the hubs machined down 2mm or so to give you slightly more space.

As for suspension, if your tokicos are close to being shot, and you're looking to tinker around, get a set of JIC FLA-2's. This will give you a big advantage.

Exactly what Ion has stated.

Slipstream is your best bet with that tire size. Both of which we have. Just tell me the color you want. We always have protege FLT-A2 in stock.

I am also working on developing cartridges with Koni at the moment. Will take a couple months.

If you can get Koni to make struts for the MP3, you ar ethe man! They told me at Nationals last year they weren't going to have anything to do with Proteges anymore. I hope you can change their mind!
