Don Nguyen | Black Roof Vinyl Wrapping Pictures

^I like that... f'in hot.

As soon as I make this wheel purchase and get my windshield replaced, I'll be installing that roof vinyl. This will be my first go @ vinyl, so wish me luck, lol. Shouldn't be too bad, the roof is completely flat/straight. No sun roof, antenna or anything.

Cool.

Let me know how it goes and post some pictures when you get it on.

It'll really complete the rest of the look of your car.

I really like the applied vinyl bezel on the Benz. That's some real careful cutting you did there :)

It definitely was not easy nor perfect, but from a foot back, you can't even tell/notice. The only time you may see any slight curves in the cutting/lines is when my face was right next to it while trimming the vinyl.

Not putting your work down, but I'm sorry...if I had the money to spend on a Porsche or BMW I'd buy only real CF. That's just wrong. Especially on the Porsche where the real CF is right next to the vinyl. (notcool)

It's a look/style, and definitely not for everybody.

I always think about it once in a while, and for the most part, most people who have real cf parts to save weight are really only shaving off a second it takes to get to the grocery store. I don't see too much difference in between that.

On my track car, my cf parts are painted, and that's how I prefer it.

*sub* - that's a nice skill to have! Wish i was that skilled w/ vinyl (i let the cutter do all the work)

Had some requests to post more pictures of interiors that I've wrapped with the 3M di noc carbon fiber vinyl.

Feel free to let me know if you guys have any requests. I have pictures of various things that sometimes I just don't get around to posting.

looks awesome. those interior pieces look sickk. i need to figure out a way to get rid of my antenna, or atleast make it as short as possible to make this vinyl even possible. definatly going to be the worst part. the sunroof shouldnt be that tough if u do it right.

loving the carbon fiber wrapped pieces...now if only there was a way to make them shine like real carbon fiber

Don,

Is there a specific type of vinyl you use for doing exterior parts, especially the roofs? I would assume you need something that is very weather resistant. Interested in attempting my roof in gloss black, if it is not too costly.

Clearing out some old pictures I have, before I move them to a different HD. First up is an E92 that I wrapped his roof with gloss black vinyl:

Second up is a 7 series that I tinted the tails and front corner lights on with some smoke tint. I thought it went very well with the color of the car.

Vinyl wrapped an s2000's hood and trunk in the 3M di-noc carbon fiber material (Don't mind the oil marks from my hands, I forgot to wipe it down before taking the pictures):

Let me know what you guys think. His trunk was fairly tricky to do.

Will be posting pictures in order that they were requested.

First up is an E55 AMG that I tinted the clear portions of the tail lights, the third brake lights, the turn signals on the mirrors and did gloss black on his roof:

Posting pictures of what people requested for. I tinted the clear portion on the tails of this E60. It as a bit overcast that day, so the tint/tails appear slightly darker. However, I took the pictures to true representation as possible of the tails and the shade at that moment.

Just posting up some more picture requests. Sorry if it takes a while to get to them all, since there's a lot of requests, and I go in order of the requests made. I'll eventually get to all of them.

Vinyl wrapped the roof and hood of this VW MkV GTI with the 3M di-noc carbon fiber material (did his roof 6 months prior and he finally decided to get his hood done as well):

Been having the owner of this car telling me to post pictures of his car up, so I skipped ahead and did his pictures for him first :)

Kind of a kill two requests in 1, as people have been asking me to take a bit more pictures at certain/various angles for them, so here you go to those who asked.

Some more pictures of the 3M Carbon Fiber Di-Noc material that I used to vinyl wrap the roof of this E46 3 series.
