Doh! I guess I need some snow tires.

I bought my P5 a few months ago, and I really paid no attention to the tires. I've always had all-season tires on my cars. Well I noticed that my car was starting to handle worse on cold wet roads, so I decided to check out the tires. I discovered that the tires on there right now are great tiresMichelin Pilot Primacyjust not so great for the cold. And, of course, joy of joys, no one carries snow tires in our size. I had to special order them. At least we aren't supposed to get any more snow for almost a week.

End Rant/Story

what kind of snows did you get. I'm running blizzak ws 50, they kick so much ass in the snow i couldn't even tell ya. 195/55r15 with some black steelys

I ordered some Dunlop Graspic DS-2 195/50/16. I got a great deal on them from a local shop.

right on. My personal choice would not have been dunlop after all I got rid of my stock dunlops with in the first year i had my car. But I did hear they are great in the snow. Watch out for that tree.

I wouldn't get the stock type Dunlops, but for snows I'm not really too picky. I'm used to driving on all-seasons in the snow, so any snow tires will be an improvement.

Im runnin Blizzak WS-50s, Ive had them for 3 years but this is the first winter having them on the P5. Cant wait to test them. Surprisingly they look pretty sweet on a black car...LOL

I'm getting them installed on my stock P5 rims. I convinced myself to do that and get some other rims for the summer, possibly MSP 17 inchers.

I have 195/55/16 WS50s on right now, but somehow Rochester has managed to evade the snow so far, I've been told there's usually a lot of snow right now. I'm excited to try out the blizzaks, they look awesome on my stock wheels, sorta reminiscent of the all-terrains on my truck.

All the non-4x4 vehicles at my house have WS50s.

I got them for a decent price at tirerack.com. They aren't stock size (a little taller but same width) so tirerack called to warn me that they might not fit, but I've had no problems (i'm not lowered).

yeah, the stock dunlops suck in the snow. I live in northern utah where we get snow almost 3 times a week (or so it seems). I tried going up a hill that had some snow on it and I was lucky to get up. Had to spin at 35 mph just to go forward at probably 5-7 mph. I hate that it is so expensive to put snow tires on the 16 inch rims. I bought some 15 inch black steelies and some cooper winter-something-or-others 195/50r15. They look like piss, but handle great, especially compared to the stockers. Anything will handle better than the stockers in the snow. The one big advantage to buying a new set of rims is that when you need to change-over, all you have to do is change wheel/tire sets, no need to go pay a tire store $40 or more for the changeover. Saves you $80+ per year!
