does this look like a good set lf subs to you guys

alright i have a 2000 protege lx and this kid at my school has got 2 350rms sony xplod p5 12 in subs in a box for 150. he said he can prob get an amp for them cause he knows some people at the car audio stores around here pretty well, and hell install it all, do you think i should go for it?

People sell off equiptment for a reason. You may want to find out why first. Also, you want to know what the MSRP of these subs are, who built the box and its specs. You also want to know the resistance of each su so you know how it will be best matched with various amplifiers.

well im getting him to hook up the subs to his truck so i can hear them. he said hes getting rid of them because he got a bigger one and i know if anything is wrong with them i could get my money back(ive known the guy for at least 5 years) i could buy theese subs for that price but id need to get a box so im gonna listen to theese first

YOu still need to know the rest. Hell sony subs are often on 2 for 1 sales at arounf $120 or less. Its possible the box+subs was a deal for only $200 when he bought them new or even less. It all depends on which subs they are.
