There is no "MP3 package" from factory, but you can buy most of the parts to turn a regular Protege ES into an MP3 from a dealer (I'm not sure about the computer and seats.) Dealers can install the parts and call it whatever they like. My local dealer was going to do the full body kit, suspension, stereo and wheel and tire package to an ES after they sold their last MP3. Only problem is it would end up costing a lot more than the MP3 so they scratched it. I'm sure we'll see more dealer modded cars from the Mazdaspeed dealers once they start getting parts.1st MP3 in NH said:I saw a white one at the local dealership. I stopped and looked it over. It had the same rearend and sides as the MP3 but a different front, looked mostly stock. It had different racing harts and the rear wing. It had a stock head unit. I think it also had the suspension. The hole thing was like a $5000 option.
I will check back with the dealer to see if they had anymore to look at further.
My dealer is in the process of dressing up a laser blue LX to look like a Speed World Challenge car with the full sticker package and different wheels and suspension. Should look pretty good.
