Looking for a source for a blower for a 2003 Protege' 5. No turbo's please. Just a good old fashioned belt driven SuperCharger. Any info is appreciated.
you will have to go custom for a supercharger, it would be cool to see a protege with one. If you search there are numerous threads on this. Area 51 made one but it is over 10g's. I would love to see someone follow through and actually get one.
Basically, if this is what I think it is, it's a joke. Someone posted a link of the "testing" of one of these and it did absolutely nothing. By engineering calculations, alone the idea is impractical / impossible.
well thats what i thought, but anyway he's gonna crack open the library down there and see what can be dug up...
the question lies in how the hell do you get an electronic fan to turn with enough force that is could create a good bit of pressure
honestly i think it could work, but as i said he is a motoring journo he writes up stuff he is well researched .... so i'm gonna wait until monday for the close of business when he shows me what he got
Why not just put a real supercharger on? Are you thinking about selling your car that soon? And what are you going to do with a used electric supercharger when you take it off to sell? I'm sure you could find a buyer for a fast Protege
naa its not that - its a 1.6litre mill!!
ya can do mods and mods and its still a 1.6litre at the end of the day... - given a choice what would you rather fit a turbo/supercharger to? i'd personally go for the 2.0 - but my next car isn't for a while ..... hmm i dunno i think i need to sleep
damn its nearly 4am
