Does anyone make a DasHawk pod for the 3?

And if not, is there interest in one?

LMK as I am considering looking into it for the 3.

Is that the only one?
If so, is there any interest in a pillar mounted one?

I'd love to see a pillar-mounted pod for the DH, as long as it doesn't install using tape. I bought the CP-E model, and while I salute them for taking the time & effort to create the only DH pod for our cars, I fear that it won't hold for long in the Florida heat. (Uses double sided tape to stick to the dash)

Also, I like to hide the DH out of sight (and out of direct sunlight) when I park, and I don't see this unit holding up to repeated inserts/removals of the DH unit over time. My doubts are serious enough that although I received the CP-E unit over a month ago, I haven't installed it yet.

I would be interested in hearing an alternative to using the double sided tape. I installed using the tape last week and although it's stuck pretty good right now, one corner doesn't make full contact.

All the dash hawk mounts with the exception of the billet holders for full size pickups use two sided tape to hold it to the pod, it's the norm and applied properly , works just fine in the summer heat.

Maybe in Ohio Summer heat. Not so much in Florida. Down here, anything that attaches where it is exposed to direct sunlight- dashboard, a-pillars, etc., will usually not hold thru a full Summer with double sided tape. Maybe if you use one of those windshield sun covers when you park, but not if you park & go like most of us.

I have the CP-e DashHawk mount and absolutely love it:

thats too bad, it's a nice looking piece, but i'm not about to put tape on the top of my dash !!

High quality tape doesn't leave much residue and if it does, Goo Gone works. The only thing I can see being issue if your dash fades it wont be faded under there.

Personally, I prefer the double-sided tape. It is much easier to remove a bit of tape residue than to try and cover up holes. ;)

I agree there. I am not a fan of drilling holes for anything where the interior is concerned. Unless it's out of sight to begin with anyway.
