Does anybody have the Mazda bike rack?

I'm looking at getting the Mazda roof rack soon so I can fit more than 1 bike into the 2. I know that a few people have reverse mounted some Yakima bike racks with some success, but I didn't see anything about the Mazda supplied one.

Thanks!

With the Mazda roof rack running about 350 and each bike attachment going for around 150, I said F-it and bought a trailer hitch for 90 shipped and a 2 bike hitch rack for 40. I may upgrade to a better hitch rack at some point, but for now it works great and lots of money I didn't have to spend. Might be another option for ya

i cant imagine a small 2 towing bikes lol

you could prolly tow a 2 with a strong bike :p

You're still hauling the bikes whether they're on the roof or on a hitch mounted rack.
This is what I have: http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Mazda/2/2011/C11073.html?vehicleid=2011304674
I do realize the Tongue Weight is only up to 150lbs (the other hitches are 200) but 2 bikes weighing in at under 30lbs and the rack that I have definitely no more than 20lbs, I'm under weight limit. I know there's a few members on here that run hitch racks that have posted pics. I don't have any of mine at the moment.

Here's a pic for ya. I know the way it looks, it looks like the bike sticks way out on each side of the car.... it doesn't stick out on 1 side and you can barely see the tire stick out on the other. For reference, this is a 29er, size Large (20").
Curt hitch with Harbor Freight rack.

Pretty sure you actually could. I mean, it's easy enough for one person to push. You wouldn't wanna tow it far but you could do it, haha.

The "Mazda" bike rack is really a Thule, and you can probably find it cheaper elsewhere. I've run a set of Yakima Frontloaders, but since moving to a place with underground parking, had to think of something else. Besides, the noise and wind drag were killing me. I recently installed a hitch from Uhaul (pain to install, but worth it!), and am running the Saris CycleOn Pro, a wheel tray rack. It's seriously the best thing ever, super easy to load/unload, folds nicely, and doesn't get in the way of the hatch. Expensive, but so are my bikes.

Not all hitches are hard to install. Mine took me less than 15 minutes. 2 bolts per side and 1 10mm to reattach the evap sensor
