Does a Protege Rear Bumper The Same As A Protege5 Rear Bumper?

Hi, All.

Can anyone confirm whether a regular Protege rear bumper will match that of a Protege5?

I am speaking of just the painted body part (= plastic bumper cover) and not the supports, beam, or styrofoam.

I attached a picture of a damaged Protege5 one.

Confirmations please... I suspect that they are different parts and that the body creases do not match up.

they arent the same... the P5 and the sedfan are the same from the rear wheels forward (pretty much), but the rear is shorter on the p5.

sorry, but it couldn't be all that expensive to get a new one.

really? I was told wrong then....sorry about that zoobie. When I got the bumper, he said it would fit all 3rd generation bumper. How much different are they?

I noticed from your the pic of your Protege bumper that it seemed not as tall and it did not have the same contours on the side.

I'll just keep looking for a replacement for my P5 one. If anyone sees one available, let me know via PM.

Dealers that I spoke to in NYC were in the mid to high $200s plus shipping for new. Any sources / dealers that you know of that may be any different?

they are different. lapisblueprotege is selling a jspec rear, jspec mintblue rear kit, and jspec re-enforcement bar for $300 or something... worth well over +$1100. pm him
