Do your sunglasses fit, and close?

Personally, I think the mirror idea is ridiculous. You're supposed to be watching the road, not the passengers, and any normal person does not need to look at someone in order to talk to them. My 2cents. I like the Veracruz, which has two sunglass holders.

so you are always watching the road......never looked down at the radio or anything like that?

what is the difference between glancing in your rearview mirror at the cars behind you and glancing in a mirror a few inches from there to check on your kids that are suddenly too quiet?

I agree. We had the drop down mirror on a Dodge minivan we rented for a vacation trip to Florida and I would love to have it on the CX9. If I recall, it actually could be used as an eye glasses holder as well (had two "settings" one for mirror and the other dropped it down to put glasses in it). I believe the problem with having one in the CX9 is design related in that it would block the rear view mirror, which would be annoying and dangerous. For those vehicles that are capable of having it, it's a nice feature. There's nothing dangerous about glancing in the mirror to briefly check on what your 3 or 5 year old kids are doing (pick your young age).
