Do you know the ECU (PCM) number?

Forscan
Hi, I get a message saying that it is 'Unable to identify the vehicle' and asks to enter a strategy/calibration name or part number.'
The example number given by Forscan (for a later model Ford Diesel) works PC3A-14C204-FGB, it gives fault codes for my abs which I'm trying to repair, not brave enough to use the diesels reset though.

But I can't find the equivalent number for the Mazda5 2011 alias Nissan lafesta highway star 2011.
Do you have the number? Or does Forscan recognize your mazda5? Can't find a number that works on my pump/ecu.
Thanks for any help. (sorry for repeating a similar thread, its taken weeks to get this far.)

I thought about importing a Nissan Lafesta. It’s the perfect Mazda5 but I’m not sure if it can be registered/insurable in the US. Where are you located?

Post your question in the Forscan community, developer(s) do monitor it. Having a full paid version might help too.
Hi, I will post on Forscan, next option if the Mazda codes don't work. The only mention of the Nissan l. on Forscan forum was a 1/2 doz Russian posts, but nothing related to recognizing the ecu.

'Having a full paid version might help too.' Are you sure about that? Their web page seem to indicate it wasn't even necessary to register for the 3 months free license, unless your programing the ecu.- Well out of my depth, I just want to read the fault codes of my abs & reset it. But its all new to me, so any advice is welcomed, if I have miss understood?

I'm from Downunder, we import used Japanese cars from Japan etc, because they drive on the wrong side of the road, like us. But they fiddle the mileage km reading, so my very tidy clean 45k km is probably over 100k km. So far I've had to replace the shocks & now maybe the ecu = $3-4k, that's almost 1/2 the price I paid for it 5k km ago. If the mileage is accurate, then I'm losing confidence in it.
That said beyond the engineering mechanics, its a practical good looking well designed cab.
Then there's the issue of getting the right scanner to read it, & info on it that's not in Japanese script.

ps see link below for codes & info (problem solved)
Best budget scanner / code reader? Nissan Lafesta (B35) / Mazda5 2011
