Do you have a keyhole light in your pro? - Read plz

My protege did not come with a keyhole light so I am going to install a blue LED. The thing is, I was thinking of wiring it to be on all the time so that it lights up where to put the key in. For those of you with pros that came with a keyhole light - When is this light on? Is it always on or on when the door is open or what?

if I recall correctly it's just like convenience lighting but with a longer timer

no, mine is on only before I turn the key, once it is turned my light goes off.

I cant remember if its on before I open the door, ill go check......
