do stock CX7's have some kind of BOV?

yep. it's nothing special. no pfffffft, no chrome. it does it's job and protects the turbine/impeller wheel sure enough.

i wonder if an aftermarket 1 will void warrenty? i love the sound of a nice aftermarket 1...i had an HKS at 1 time, before everyone had 1, before the fast n the furious...i bought it, not even knowing it would make that sound...called shop on way home blaming them for doing something wrong, when i heard it...they laughed...i miss that s***...!
VRRoooooom..PSHHhhhhssssssstttttt,Vrooooooom....
now just zoom zoom...

are you sure you will void your warranty just for that??? I don't think so i put a bov in my msp i used to have and they didn't voided!!

I talked to the guys down at the dealership and asked them and they said it would void the warranty.(notcool)

...well that sucks...i wonder about the CP-E intake, ask them about that if u feel like it...thanks. do u know these guys?

yes I know these guys... and same thing about the intake but I put on last week anyway and will be getting the BOV next.(yes) (rockon)

i don't think it's worth it to void warrenty...cx-7 racer what intake did u get?
- basically they got u by the balls, if something, anything, is wrong w/ vehicle, they can say somehow say it was caused by BOV/intake...

I got the intake from CP-E and if I need to take in my car for anything I will just install the stock intake

a bov shouldn't void any part of your warrenty unless it is causing leaning and then you pop a DISI engine (not easy [well compaired to a fs-de]) but it is not worth it... for a sound. I do understand the, want to turn heads, but there are other ways as well for the same price :)

cx-7 racer how was it installing? does the CP-E have a plug for the stock MAF sensor( i think that is what it is ), to plug into...?
- how's it sound...power gain? worth it?

the install was very easy and you just plug the stock MAF sensor right in. it sounds allot better and you can hear the turbo good now... maybe a little power gain but not much.
