Do I have this setup for ipod in MS3 right?

Ok, so I have a sport MS3 with Sirius. I want to use my iPod. What I plan to use is:

iPod
"switch box" which is obtained by the dealer (must it be installed by the dealer?)
and the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with this setup I should be able to press Media on the dash and get iPod goodness. I can put the HK Drive + Play brain in the armrest and plug it in the 12V power there as well as the aux-in.

Now, is there anything I should be worried about? Will I get good sound quality or do I need to do extra to ensure a good ground?

Well, I had my dealer just unhook the Sirius so I could used the audio jack and yes, the sound is great. They did offer an iPod adaptor but it was like $140 plus labor.

Just get the plug and play from sirius for $130.

I wired it into the arm rest and used the windo mount set up to be straight and it sits right in the cup holder. Its perfect and when my arm is resting on the rest I can use my hand to change the channels and what not.

Realize that even if you buy that big expensive OEM unit from Mazda you will only be able to scroll and see one channel listing at a time since the head units screen is so small. With the plug and play you can see 6 channels at once while scrolling.

Not to mention all you do is unhook it to use a Ipod and you dont need any extra splitters. So in the end you will have spent like $500 and I spent $130 on mine, its a no brainer.

Its a unit that can be used in any and every car out there and then taken out to be used in the home if you like.

They are sexy as hell and cost a s*** load less.

Ahh man I didnt know you bought it already, my bad.

Any way here are the pics and the extra one is of my Pro driver, she did a 14sec 1/4 mile the other day. LOL

You will also need this to filter buzzing from using a charge jack and Ipod or sirius unit.

All I did is make the window mount upright and use some velcro on the suction cup and the floor of the cup holder to keep in in place. It has a little play in it but works great.
