DIY Mazdaspeed CAI install & HKS SSQV BOV

why did you duck tape the vent to the cold air intake???
have there been know cases of that vent causing the intake to take in water,

some people covered the vents to prevent misting of the filter. but i noticed that the way the slits are cut into the fender it sorta prevents it on its own.
i didnt cover mine, ive had my intake on for about a month now and weve had heavy rain and snow, and i havent had any problems.
just watch out for standing water where the filter will be submerged. and even if u cover the slits, if the filter gets submerged covering them will not help much.

I'm in an area where rain comes from the side. And rain comes in pretty often...little duct tape precaution doesn't help.
