Discount Tire is cool...

I picked up a screw in my right rear tire the other night drivin' to work. Changed out for the scrawny spare around 3:30 am and drove over to the Discount Tire on my way home in the morning at 7.

They opened up at 8:00 am, I was back in my car on my way home free of charge by 8:10 am with a fixed tire. They even offered to put my real wheel back on.

I enjoyed changing my tire so much earlier in the day that I decided to spare them and change it back when I got home. That, and I didn't want them jackin' with the key for the special lug on my car.

No biggy though, it's just cool that they snagged the wheel out my hand as I walked in, and had me outta there quick. And all for free to boot.

I wasn't so lucky. Caught a nail as well thursday night. Thursday, I had new rims put on the car. So friday, while getting the nail fixed, the bastards didn't take their time with my wheel, and scratched the rim. It's minor, but the things were only 1 day old. Like come on!

I'm on the road again though.

I won't know anything until next week at this point. I picked the car up late Friday, and it's a long weekend. So I won't see the manager until then.

The scratch is really not that bad. But, they weren't even a day old yet. That pisses me off.

I got a flat fixed there last month, and they phukcing smashed my centercap trying to take it off!:mad: Needless to say it took them a month to replce it. One time thay even jacked up my back floor! It had to be hammered back flat. WTF!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: By the way the centercaps for your stock Racing Hearts are $27.20(USD).

This is exactly why I don't go to Discount Tire. My friend and I personally witnessed one of their workers sling his Volk LE-37T into a 3-foot tall jack handle and damn near macked up his wheel in the process. For every good Discount Tire, there is about 3 bad ones. Thank god I have friends who can mount/balance for me. They don't understand how precious wheels are to people.

I work at Discount Tire... as some may know but it is true there are a few bad discount tires... but there are a lot of very good ones... i work in Ann Arbor and we are number 10 in the nation i believe.... i am the person they tell to work on the expensive cars... such as porsche, vetts, ricers with the 18's and bigger.... and many many more cars.... i just worked on a rsx type s with volk te37's and he was very impressed with the job.... the other discount that worked on his car counterbalanced his wheels too... the thing you should do is go out there and watch them and tell them you want a manager working on your car... there are a lot of good workers and terrible retarted workers... but if any of you are in the ann arbor area and want to get hooked up just let me know....
