Hey I am not a CX-7 owner, however I am a Protege owner!!!...anyway a neighbor of mine has a CX-7 and she was wondering if any of the CX-7's came with a digital thermostat inside the car. She didnt get one with her car and would like to put one in. First can she even put one in and if so where would it go and where does she go to get it installed. Thanks..

not sure if the GT have the ambient outside temp either... but
I got a Gentex 60 series mirror, which comes with outside air temp, compass, dome light, and homelink, and autodim
You can see from the wide angle that my dome light is now blue, and the gentex now provide dome/map light for driverand passenger.

Brock0011 -- The GT comes with the exterior temp display. It's part of the auto climate control on the CX-7. I know there are others with Sports and Tourings that want the temp gauge to work, but as far as I know, no one has been able to get it to work.
cx7pos -- I'm thinking of putting in Blue LEDs for the interior lights. Are they bright enough to be useful as map lights if needed. I won't have any other lights in the car as mine came with the auto-dimming/compass/home-link mirror already in it (no lights).

nope, it's way too dim, I'm using it as accent light(I also frosted the lens). I am planning to get floor accent light for front and rear, but I might drill a hole in to the stock dome light to get constant (ACC ON ONLY) accent lighting.
