difference between MT90 and 75W90NS gearbox oils?

i have these 2 gearbox oils readily available in UK, redline brand are the only ones ive found that dont contain a friction modifier, which i read somewhere you dont want in the super LSD, but im not sire which to use,
the 75W90NS actually states its for LSD use but im not sure as it mentions friction modifiers in its detail and the standard 75W90 from redline does contain friction additives and also says its too slippery for use in synchro boxes

Don't know what the molecular difference is between the two, but in my experience the MT-90 will work better than the 75W90NS. I worked in a Mazda oriented auto shop and saw many customers who used 75W90NS, & MTL, switch over to MT-90 with great results.

new mazda owner here, say guys have anyone of you heard using GM synchromesh in the MS3 tranny yet?? it worked wonders for my 06 civic si and my wifes matrix xrs. i have some left and wondered if i can use it in my new speed3?? what type of tranny fluid does the speed3 call for anyways???

I have some MT-90 sitting in the garage. been under my Speed3 a couple times lately trying to figure out where the heck do you drain the tranny oil and where do you refill it?

the "Manual" is utterly useless. anybody got a couple of pics of where the heck you deal with the manual tranny fluid?

it's not the LSD that doesnt like the friction modifier. in fact most LSD diff's REQUIRE it ! the synchros are what dont agree with the frict. mod. get the redline ... thats what i, and most others use and recommend

tru - can you describe (or post a couple of pics) where to drain & fill the MT fluid? there are quite a few threaded plugs around the bottom of the engine/tranny area and I'm not certain which is which.

the drain and fill holes are both 24MM. you wil only be able to use a wrench, so if you dont have one ...buy one !! the drain hole points directly towards the driveside tire. the fill is facing the front of the car, it's the only huge 24MM bolt you will see it !
lift the car and drain the old oil out.
1 remove the fill bolt while you are under there, it will be easier.
2 put the car back down ON A LEVEL SURFACE !
3 bounce you cars supsension around a little (this will make sure the susp. is even and level)
4 use a trans funnel (or just add some rubber fuel line to you reg. funnel) and fill the trans until it just begins to overflow out of the hole. most cars take 2.6-2.7 qts. mine took a little more, like 2.9... dont worry about the actual amount.. just fill it until it is full !

Syncromesh is no where near the viscosity of MT90. If your tranny takes ATF type fluid, syncromesh is the s***. I know honda uses basically a 5w30 in their tranny's so the Syncromesh works fine.I used it exclusively on my cobra. For these tranny's however, they need MT90 or a 75w90
