well, i went to an Equipe Rapide club autocross. It was at mineral wells airport. and frankly IT KICKED ASS. im so addicted now. i even spanked a few corvettes. i think the lowest time for the course i saw was like 69 seconds (hardcore race cars) i ran 81.4 on my best run, and all my runs were really consistent. now im gonna need some new shocks so i can really start kicking some ass. my friend in a bone stock wrx ran a 75 (really fast for that car) and won his class. i think i got 3rd in mine (g stock)

Welcome to the world of autocrossing. The Protege is a good car to start on since you can do a lot with it. If you do a search of this forum, there is lots of information on autocrossing.

Here are a few of me autocrossing. If you follow the link in my signature, you can see pictures of three of my cars autocrossing.
Is Mineral Wells as rough as it used to be?

tein springs an 17" Konig Holes.

and yes the mineral wells airport is still pretty rough. the amount of grip you get from that surface is almost not worth the tire wear

i was just making sure because i have the teins as well and am about about to buy some 17' rims...although i do have a question, do you think with the tein springs that i could fit 18's....prob. not...thanks..(nana)

hmm, you probably could. theyd be tucking a bit, and youd have to have some pretty thin sidewall tires
