SEE THERE IT IS, the only persona who want to drive the damn car is his dad, they once again suceeded in trageting the older markets. keep in mind the total s*** storm Toyota is in, there average buyers age keeps going up! Soon there average buyer will be DEAD!

If anything make more cars like the celica not the damn faggaty scions!

The first thing toyota needs to do is fire their market research people becuase they most likely work for honda with these results. Honda sends in some undercover people to totaly F-up toyotas product lines, brilliant

I've seen them on the freeways here in OC/LA for the past four months...it's old news.

they're not that fugly, but they are pretty damn small.

the xB looks boxier in real life than it does in the pictures. the xA actually looks pretty decent...almost like an overweight baby Matrix.

I think the marketing department at Toyota has done an excellent job with keeping up with consumer demand. in the late 80's during the height of the luxury car craze, Toyota came up with Lexus...look where Lexus is now...

Toyota is getting into Nascar with the rising popularity of Nascar...who would have known!

the emergence of Scion is only an indication of how saturated the "Sport Compact" scene is...I predict an imminent end to the "sport compact import racing tuning street racing" scene soon.

actually saw one of the Scion B's at the 06/15 SoCal Meet at Life Plaza ..... oddly enough .... I didn't bother taking a picture of it ...... I wonder why ....

so obviously you and your friends' opinions are the be all, say all of authority then. Everyone said the PT Crusier was fugly, and look where it is now. I see those damn things everywhere, at least 2 a day. The honda element is fugly and I've seen an increase in those too. In japan those crazy little box cars are huuuuge. Car companies are just trying to profit on whatever they see as a potential money maker. I'm not trying to say that it looks good and you should like it, but there are drivers out there that have different opinions. Personally, I think those little boxy cars are going to become a big trend. (not that i'm gonna buy one).

now what's truly wrong with it? looks pretty clean, pretty sharp to me. the car is lighter than an Echo, and according to Car and Driver, its skidpad and cornering performance is better than a Miata's. Very spacious on the inside, and the "aftermarket" from Toyota includes not only dress-up parts like neons and door trim, but intakes, exhausts, superchargers (possibly). They also come with an audio system on par with what the MP3 had in 2001.

If Toyota can sell this car for $12,000, they're going to have quite a few buyers of all types.

i think that they kinda look funny, not ugly but funny. and they are supposed to be super tuneable. oh yeah and don't laugh at the aftermarket. blitz already has a blitz compressor out for the xb. they are a HUGE hit in japan. a couple of top tuning companies use them to go from show to show and put all their parts on them. i believe blitz and greddy have one, i donno bout anyone else.

the only thing i could see doing with the xB is ripping out all the rear seats and putting like eight 15 inch subwoofers in the back and playing 50 cent on repeat. oh yeah, with chrome 22s.
