DGM grill insert: best way to put wire mesh in?

I've got a painted DGM fiberglass grill insert, and I'm just wondering what's the best way to secure wire mesh in there? I've been looking at it, and it and I'm not sure which would be the most secure way to go about it without making it looking like ass, any help is greatly appreciated,

I just used hot glue so it isn't 100% permanent.

I went to my local body shop and they did it for like $10 bucks. I just went in and asked them what would be the best way to attach the wire mesh. They said for $10 bucks they would do it for me. It almost looked like some kind of grey caulking.
