Directly under the center strip I used some sandpaper to "scuff" the paint on the lower-center part of the grill. This allows the double-sided tape to stick without any problems. Double-sided tape anywhere else is a waste of time in my experience. I didn't have any luck with the above mentioned scuffing or heat gun on any of the other surfaces.

As you can see...other than the use of washers on the back (pics I posted previously), fitment is pretty good. I used the stock holes in the bumper for the screws. Then, I also added an expansion plug (the big one from the front grill that goes into the cross-member) and drilled a hole through the lip and the fender-liner. Inserted the plug and viola!!. This lip is solid and won't be going anywhere soon.
I can take pics of the plugs later this evening and post em.
