at least you guys didn't spend 30 minutes jumping thru hoops to prove you weren't drunk... That guy was bound & determined to get us for something...

I'm thinking we should fight this too. We have the four drivers as witnesses, and two passengers, all of which can say we weren't racing. If we could get the other members who where behind us and didn't get ticketes to come and be witnesses too I think we'd have a good chance at getting these bogus tickets dismissed.

I think we should bring this up when we call the lawyer and see if he can help us get these dismissed.

Jamie and I are going to do some research today and see if we can find out what constitutes "racing" under Texas law. If I find anything useful I'll post it later tonight.

I dunno that we want to admit that we had *more* people behind us though... I dunno how much taht woudl help our case..

FYI, here's the guy everyone has been suggesting. even my coworker who has more tickets than God himself

The more people we have that can testify as witnesses that we were not racing the better. And the fact that these people were with us, but did not get tickets only helps our defense.

The only thing that would seriously hurt or case is if one of us pleads guilty and goes for differred injunction. If one of us does this, we might as well all do it cause it's going to look really bad for the others. I have a perfectly clean driving record and know I could get defferred, but the fact is we were cited for a violation we did not commit. Maybe we should take a poll and see how the 4 of us would like to proceed. Vote honestly here. We're all friends and none's gonna give you s*** for voting one way or the other.

I vote for pleading not guilty. I still think we should contact the lawyer together, fill him in on the situation and get his opinion.

actually I think that this could hurt your defense. THink about it from someones side who has no idea what happened. what was it 4 of you who got ticket... and then "spectators" who didnt get ticketed... I dont know just a thought.... bring it up to your lawyer... but either way this really sucks guys. I hate the cops... they've never upheld the law when I've needed them...

man that sucks, DFW Airport DPS are the sickest mF you can find. They have no mercy. They stopped my friend for no front license plate and gave him a nasty ticket. For those of you not familiar with DFW Airport, there is damn highway going right through it.

They are actual TX DPS troopers and they give you a citation from the 3 different cities the airport covers, depending where you are: Irving, Euless and Grapevine.
