Because you had the Cards and Tigers.


Give me Red Sox and Cubs or Yankees and Cubs and they would quadruple the ratings. It is all about matchups and people don't want to see this years W.S.

Yes it did have the lowest TV ratings of any World Series. Being someone who lives near Detroit and an avid baseball fan (and player) I can say that what happened with the Tigers is sad, but it proves that anyone can go from zero to hero in the MLB. It was one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed watching the Tigers beat the Yankees in 4. I witnessed something that I had never seen before in my lifetime, and most people didn't know when it would ever happen again. I have been to other sports' playoff games, and a baseball game beats them all hands down. Seeing everyone rally together and be ecstatic for something like that is hard to put into words. I am fortunate enough to see that in person. Give Detroit 2-3 more years under Leyland and they'll really turn into a solid team.
