Dent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey I know it is a b**** to ding your new car..

I was backing up my then new Long Bed Extended Cab 4x4 truck (READ VERY TALL and VERY LONG) and I looked out the rear, stuck my head out the drivers side and looked at the right side mirror. Nothing seen but a parking bumper 3 feet farther back for the tire and an open space in the middle of this parking log.

Hoever, I failed to notice before I originally aligned the truck that they had this 2' cement filled pole just tall enouth to hit my bumper. So here I am slowly carefully backing my new truck back and BANG it stops!. I get out cannot believe it when I see that I put a dent in my new trucks bumper and here is this pole that cannot be seen unless you walked around first.

Still it was MY FAULT. I was driving.... Not the ass hat who stuck a pole iin the middle of a freaking parking lot... You were driving. You hit a stationary object. You need to take responsibility for your failure to clear yourself properly and not try to make someone else pay for your mistake. (five-0)

Still sucks
So you don't think that the building is at fault, for piling snow up in the direct path of the garage. A garage that is steep and comes from out of the ground?

Thank you both for the good advice. I think I'll give them a call and ask them about it in the nicest way I can.

I don't expect much but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I spoke with & visited the mazda folks and they were incredibly nice and helpful. I apparently don't know my scratches and they were able to buff it out. I am probably misusing that term, but suffice it to say everything is fine and everyone there couldn't have been kinder or more responsive.

They get a big gold star from me today.:D

Mix,

I understand you're pissed off, but really man, take a deep breath. You hit a snow bank... either file a claim with your insurance company or pay it out of pocket. It wasn't the building's fault, they were probably doing the best they could to get the snow out of the way and YOU hit the snow, no one else. Like someone else said, if it had been a kid you can't go and sue the parents because his head dented your door.

Be thankful it wasn't worse. Be thankful you didn't get hurt. Be thankful you didn't hurt anyone else. It's an annoying inconvenience, of which is your fault, and nothing more. No need for the anger... deep breaths brother, deep breaths.

:)

its definately you're fault. if they DIDNT plow, you would have complained, and now that they did plow you complained. I bet no one else hit the snow bank coming out of the garage.

You're right!! Im an E-thug! You got me now!!

Please, if I was an E-thug Id probably told you Im coming to your house with a glock, although you wouldnt be able to read that as Id have the 1337 speak going on...

hmm, this thread deserves a lock. I pray now that if he does try to sue the apt. complex for his dent, that they counter-sue him for denting their snow...

Its just funny to me how this started as a rant, became a legal discussion, a evaluation from a E-THERAPIST, and now name calling........but it is 1 thing to call someone a name AND a different thing to call someone a name to their face.
