Denso vs ngk

from what I have read. There is barely a difference between any spark plugs. The iridium plugs or whatever yield almost no difference over the stock plugs. The only time I can see the need for a change is switching to colder plugs on highly modded cars. I believe it was GRM mag that did a test of spark plugs.

coyfish how do you like the pg turbo inlet...and im getting them because cobb ap says it requires it

Stock plugs are also iridium tipped. But if running AP or with a lot of mods, such as both intake and DP/RP (especially catless), one step colder plugs are recommended.

Denso's will have to be regapped a little because AP recommends a slightly tighter gap. NGK's Iridium IX have to be regapped as they come way too wide. No biggie either way -- just be careful to avoid rubbing the center electrode (use a wire gauge, not a flat feeler gauge) as the center electrode tip is where the iridium is located and it is easily damaged.

I went with NGK one step colder with my mods (sig below) because I have used their plugs with success in a number of different applications, they have a great racing heritage, and because . . . they were cheaper. I was able to next day order/pick up them from Advance Auto Parts for $6.99 each.

To be honest. With all motor cars, or Mazda Powered vehicle i have owned. I have always had great luck, and the cars seam to run there best on NGK plugs. NEver had any issues with them in 5 diffrent motors.

I like it. Ive tried all 3 inlets and the PG is the best. The CPE / COBB are fine but only if you have the corresponding intake. My injen CAI didn't fit well with the CPE or COBB inlets but fits perfectly with the pg. Love the all metal sound too. You really hear the air coming through the intake.
