Dear john"neighbor" letter/noise complaint!

Depends on what your car sounds like....and sounds like they are trying to be fairly civil about it....I have neighboors with cars that sound like s*** and drive in at 2am..and it pisses me off...Do you live in an apartment?? House?? Condo??

Sounds like they were at least trying to tell you first, could be like my neighbors and just report me to the home owners association.

And no, placing a note like that into someone's mailbox is not illegal. Tampering with their mail, however, is.
I'm not 100% sure if that is true, but I know that if a Pizza place or something like that comes through your neighborhood and places it's ads in your mailbox, they can be fined heavily!

Not to divert from the current topic, but I digress. There was a discussion regarding the letter-in-mailbox topic on one of the local AM radio shows recently. That's where I based my statement and I could totally be off-base.
As far as I can tell, the Federal Mailbox Restriction Act only addresses "mailable items", and seems mostly concerned with preventing the private delivery of mail (into mailboxes) that would otherwise have gone through the Postal Service.
If you wanted to be a real dick about it, you could probably complain to someone and, at best, your neighbors might be asked to refrain from using your mailbox to deliver notes. Not to mention that your neighbors are probably capable of making life much worse for you, than you are for all of them.
Seems to me though that they made a perfectly reasonable request in a polite and civil manner. Just show a bit of courtesy like Knox Joe said, and wait till you're a few blocks away before getting on it at 6:30am.

yeah i live in a house with my parents in a nice neighborhood, and all i have is OBX header w/ mazdaspeed axleback exhaust. I sometimes forget how loud it is outside of the car haha. Yeah i guess i could slow down a lil, but i just purchased a 2001 yamaha r6 w/ full exhaust system and im installing a jet kit now too....MY NEIGHBORS ARE GOING TO SH!T A CHICKEN!!!
They were nice about it..My neighbors just call the cops.
And as for the bike....remember it will coast a long way when coming in..That will help in the evenings. I am very courteous of my neighbors when coming in a 2am from a good night ride..I coast from hundreds of eet away from my house around a corner and all the way up to my garage where I shut it off and push it inside...No need to piss off people you have to live with.

who lived there first? if you came later than them, than i'd probably comply. they were nice about it. if you came first, then i'd say **** it. though courtesy does get you good with the neighbors, who knows, there might be a block party and you might possibly get introduced to a cute cousin/niece/sister/milf/gilf/aunt/friend of a friend/acquiantance/a girl someone is talking to and you want to score 1st
They're not telling him to get rid of his car, they're just telling him to be a bit considerate and keep the revs down.

hahahaha! thats awsome, thank god my neighbor owns a 4x4 shop and his s*** is louder than mine, good luck with the neighbors. remember, replacing slashed tires gets rather expensive.
