Deal's Gap, October 23-25.

Just posting this to gauge interest. I go to Deal's Gap (The Tail of the Dragon) with the MINI Coopers every May for a big event. 400+ MINIs, 600+ people, lots of activities- casino night, brew swap, pinewood derby races, etc., etc.

But a smaller contingent of MINIs goes back in October for just a day or two to enjoy the local roads without all the organized activities.

I've never gone to this October gathering, but my boss just offered me some time off that weekend and I am considering joining the MINIs with my MS3.

So I thought I would throw this out there. The main group of MINIs will stay at Fontana Village, as would I. Anyone here interested?

Kind of a last minute plan for me, but really looking forward to getting the heck outta Dodge. Just hoping the weather will be good for driving- cool and dry.

I wish, probably only going to be able to make one trip a year. I went in May as well, my tires would really need to be replaced if I did another trip to TOD.

I was there this past weekend w/ a group of Mr2 spyders....saw 3 Mazdaspeed3s up at the Dragon. A red, silver and another silver speed3 while I was there.

I ended up having the water buffalo flu or something like that & had to back out at the last minute. Will have to wait for my annual pilgrimage in May to test my GoPro Hero camera on the Dragon. Heck, I might add the HD Hero to my arsenal by then.
