I have a Mazda3i sedan with an aem CAI. I got my oil changed at the dealer Friday and when I got home I checked to make sure they put everything back like it was supposed to be. Well the first thing I noticed that there was a blue sticker under my hood that said "Dealer Approved Modification" and it has some code number and stuff. That made me mad. Well I washed my car yesterday and my girlfriend noticed that there was another one on the inner door where the specs for that car are! Im not sure what they mean, but seems like theyre keeping record of who has what in case you bring it in and decide to take your mod off. Im thinking of just buying some filters and changing the oil myself to avoid them seeing any future mods that I will be doing. Anyone else noticed these stickers??? (boom08)

Well since they consider your intake "approved", it might HELP you in the case of a warranty claim later down the road. "Yeah, he has a AEM intake, but we logged that back when it came in for the first service."

Hell, if you are concerned...call the service manager and ask him what it means. You bought the car and deserve to know what's going on. If he doesn't give you a decent answer, ask to speak to the manager or call back and speak to him directly.

I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was at Diamond Mazda. I dont know when Ill be able to get a digital camera, but I will post pics if I get a change. and I was also looking over my bill and they reprogrammed something. something to do with the O2 sensor.

The dealer performed the O2 sensor TSB, which comprises of a pcm software reflash. After these types of TSB's are done, dealers will place these stickers on the car so those afterwards working on the car will know what's been done (in addition, dealers will upload to a MazdaUSA database that this TSB has been performed).

So this has nothing to do with your CAI
