does anyone with the Ractive intake have any regrets about purchasing it? the main reason i'm considering buying one is the ease of purchasing/installing. also, how much did your dealership charge to install it (i can see them charging waaay too much, so i just wanted to get some input)?

Ractive intakes have a problem w/ rubbing on the master cylinder, but you can work around it. It's good because they are so cheap.

Take your skirt off and install it yourself. :-) It will take you 2 hours tops, if you're a total newb.

Hell, for the $ you'll save by doing it yourself, you COULD get a better intake.

yeah, in all reality, i will probably install it myself...and Kooldino, you are right about getting a better one for the price of having the cheap one installed. it's just so easy to make an appointment, bring my car in, and BAM...have an intake installed. (f*ck....i'm REALLY lazy :D )

the ractive intake is easy to install and you cant beat it for the price. I sell them for like 50 bucks and cant keep them in. I think that they are comparable to any other short ram out there.

I thought you were going Injen?! Sellout!!! :p j/k

SRI is cake to install. I picked up a used AEM....

heheheh....you got me! nah, i'm just doing my research. now that i'm back in canada it's gonna cost me a lot more to get an injen, so i'm weighing out all of my options.

dude, just put it on yourself. seriously its really easy. im not some gear head or anything and before mine, ive never installed an intake. its honestly just a matter of like 8-10 bolts, remove stock intake. then a couple of solicone hoses and hose clamps (easy, just use a screwdriver), then plug in the sensors (easier than USING a screwdriver), then bam, your done

I payed 400$ CDN for the Polished blue Injen shipped.
Its worth it though :D

If you ever plan on buying an Injen, PM me and ill give you
some tips on how to install them. took me an hour. :)

i paid $139 for the SRI Reactive Intake, my dealership installed it for me and the total was $250+incl. taxes.
i was new to mods etc. so thats why i had them install it. plus, if anything goes wrong they'll be responsible...in other words you have a warranty.

i replaced the original filter with the reactive heat shield filter.
i'ts a good intake...better throttle response, nice growl when accelerating and the car feels little bit stronger.
