DaveB rings are AWESOME

Did you have in trouble getting the dash cover piece off with the alarm? I have read the instructions, but haven't attempted the install yet. Any pointers would be appreciated....

I had to wiggle stuff around, but it was not that bad. It would be easier if you had no alarm, but you have one. if you look like 6 posts above your post you will see what I did. I have that damn LED in the way. check it out. it was easy.

Got mine today...fasting shipping EVER!!! Just like everyone has said, the rings are awesome & Dave even gave me the GB price after the deadline. Thanks again Dave, you're the man! (thumb)

thanks guys for all your help...now I wish I wasn't going out of town this weekend...I could do it then...

Impecable work DaveB! The package, shipping, video, and of course the Rings put you at the top of my list! Have a decal or anything planned so we can give you props?? Shoot me a PM.

It should only take you like 10 min.

Yeah it only took me a bit over 5 minutes...and at least 1 or 2 of them was getting the piece with the alarm LED around the steering wheel.

just put my brushed rings in about 5 min ago. they make the gauges look 100 times better. great work DaveB.

LOL tonka...I agree. I find myself wanting to look at the rings more than the road. Man, do they look cool at night too wit the reflections of the gauges themselves! :-)

these rings SUCK! all i do is stare at them instead of concentrating on driving. i almost hit an old woman crossing the street today because of them. they're hypnotic. hahaha.

Just a question for the people that had them slip off. Do they come in contact with the needles at all?

what's the matter matty? i'll see if i can take care of you. dave's busy running antennas right now.

I know where your coming from....While installing the DaveB Rings I also install a custom gauge faces. Can't keep my eyes off the gauges now. Only thing annoying me is I have no idea how much gas I have....as I accidently broke the needles for gas and temp.

Those gauge faces of yours are pretty cool. Sorry to hear about you breakin' the needles.

ok...I'm new at this mod stuff. Do you have to disconnect your battery to install the rings. I noticed in the video that his door light is not on which means his battery is disconnected? Is this true? I was going to attempt this today along with finally washing the car. It might hit 50 degrees. WOOHOOO!

I didn't d/c the battery.

The lights are off because the harness are off the gauges. Something about those wires can turn off all ur lights but no, u don't have to disconnect the battery.

well rings are still not installed

I could not get 2 of the wired connectors off the guage. How frustrating. I give up for awhile!

They're a pain...use a flathead screwdriver to push the tabs and it's a lot easier.
