2002 Mazda Protege5
Hello everybody, new to this forum as my daughter just got rid of her 95 bimmer and got a 02 Protege5. I was the mechanic on the bimmmer and I'm sure I will be on her new one. Hopefully the Mazda won't take up as much time as her bimmer. just thought I'd say hello and hope this forum is as helpful as the bimmer forum I had to reference for her old car because I am my daughters mechanic...

dude the p5 is soooo freaking reliable....take care of the car....and she won't let you down.....

other than basics: drive belts, tires, brakes, and struts(i replaced struts and springs with a lowering kit), i haven't touched a thing yet and i'm at 107k miles....i did replace my motor mounts though, a couple torn ones and i put in good 'n stiff ones. but the clutch is good, motor is clean, no burning or leaking oil....yada yada yada.....

welcome......you can get the shop manual on here by the way....under a sticky in the p5 lounge.....oh and the car is easy to work on.

now tell your daughter to get on too and learn about the p5...(direct)(poke)(glare)

edit: if you a sooners fan.....GO MOUNTAINEERS

This forum has a wealth of knowledge. I would say use the search function however the wealth of knowledge is too much for it.
Welcome and have a great time with your daughters car.
