Dashhawk

yo, i just picked one of these up as well. probably in my hands next week. i can't wait.
what is needed to be done before i plug and play?
this also means i need to find windows and parallels in the meantime to actually use this.

i'm also gonna be working on a custom mount for when it comes in. i'm thinking of putting it in right vent above the HU provided the DH is small enough.

how long is the obdii cord?

When I got mine the software version was old, go to the main dash hawk web page and download the newest version, I think you have to register and login if i remember correctly.

I still havent mounted mine, it just sits on top of the steering column and i can still read it fine.

Doing the setup does anyone know the drag coefficient and frontal area in sq feet of the car?
From Car and Driver :

Coefficient of drag: 0.32
Frontal area: 25.5 sq ft
Drag area: 8.2 sq ft.
Curb weight: 3180lb
Curb weight per horsepower : 12.1 Lb

i love my dashhawk ive had it for about a year. i made a bracket and suctioncuped it to the window. i need to update im not keeping up with the betas like i used to.

I think for the weight, coefficient of drag, and frontal area those numbers are used when you do a performance run and it calculates your horse power and torque. If you have it monitor instant hp then I dont think it really needs those numbers or I dont know exactly what else it uses those numbers for.

I haven't mounted mine yet, its just been sitting on top of my steering column. It measures boost/vacuum thats one of the main reasons I bought it.

sucioncupped to lower left hand part of window where inspection stickers and the likes are.
