Dashboard vents...

Not sure where this question goes so I will put it here....When I crank the dashboard vents with either AC or heat they seem to blow real hard in the center 2 vents and barely seem to come out of the side ones near the doors. This is on a 2011 Touring. Something is coming out but not enough to make a difference. The front 2 over the radio are doing all the work. Is this just how it is or is there something I am missing?

No, they should blow well out the sides as well. I'm not trying to sound ignorant, but there is the horizontal knob underneath the side vents that lets more or less air come out, which the center vents do not have the knob. Have you opened the knob all the way?

I will look closer, but I thought I tried sliding every knob possible. It would make sense that they are shut and just need to be opened but it is doing it on both sides. I never get to really look at it because I only think of it while I am driving but I will check before I leave the parking lot today.
