Dash lights.

Has anyone tried taking apart the dash and the center console?
I want to change all the lighting to Blue... but im not sure if i have to replace the LEDs or if they have a film behind them or not... if anyone knows help would be appreciated. Thz

doesnt look too hard

when i had my dash apart to put my deck in i got lookin at doing the same thing....i think there were about 6 led's and a orange or red plastic sheet over them....my idea was going to change that plastic with a blue piece....i was going to use those colored sheets they put over the spot lights for concerts....you should be able to get the stuff from most music shops....this is all asuming that the led's are white of course...if you decide to try good luck...let us know how you make out...ill probably do it on a rainy day sometime

raiderzrule : did you see if you were able to pull out the red film?
i heard from some other ppl that the film is stuck somehow so even if you change the bulbs the film still stays...

That Film

That film that everone is talking about is Gel. You can get it at your local production house in about 400 colors. If you end up going to a production house ask for a rosco book or a gam book and you can pick your color out of there.

just cut around the bottom of the bulb and then put the new gel on it. pretty simple. the gel is hard to get off if you dont cut it.

Katsmp3 : But the problem is that some of the members have said that the bulb had a colored light cover (gel as u guys call it )
AND a film behind the gauges....... my main concern now is how to get rid of the "FILM"
