Damn stewart warner....

STill lookin for it amongst other info. I dont know if I trashed it when I moved, or if its in my box of stuff.

Mine is the same way, no issues when its running though.

i believe mine was right at zero when i got it. i have a pic of it, i'll post it later tonight.

Mine works great around -20 and usually around 6.5 Boost. But lately Its around 5.5 I think I may have a small leak with crappy vacum hoses

OK, i'm kinda pissed now. I have in my possession 3 stewart warner boost gauges. I've got the first one, that seemed to hang up at 10 (only momentarily) and stick at 16 vacuum. Then they sent me another one that read 1 1/2 PSI sitting in the box, which i don't want. They sent me another one, carefull to pack it very well, to make sure it wasn't damaged in shipping... it was off of 0 in the box, but just barely, and i wouldn't care about that if it worked right. But it does the same thing as the first one. (boom07) It doesn't show accurate vacuum.

I suppose the fitting i used could be leaking, but i don't see how that would cause a hitch at 10 vacuum. I used this tubing and fitting, however instead of their 'restrictor tee' i used a regular old tee, because thats what everyone else seems to have used.

Can anyone shed any light on this?? Do i need to continue asking for a new gauge till i get one that works, or check my hook-up??

EDIT: Okay, i went for a more extensive drive just now.... although when i first checked it out it seemed to be sticking at 10 vacuum like the other, i didn't notice it at all this time. It generally (not always) reads 20 vacuum when i let off and leave it in gear or when i shift, however it drops quickly to 16 then slows dramatically to 20, like it still wants to stick (and it sometimes still does). I couldn't get it to show good boost (partly cuz when i punched it in 2nd the tires just spun, cuz its wet). But i could hear the turbo spooling and it wasn't showing boost really. I remember when i first installed the first gauge, it seemed quite hard to get it into boost, whereas just recently it was a simple matter of givin it some gas in 2nd. Maybe the guage just needs to loosen up or something.

Still open to comments or suggestions about my fittings, or what might be causing this problem. Thanks.
