D Prepared Miata Build

Its all big and RAWR.

I didnt mean it in a literal sense nub. :p

LOL I thought you meant "might impact helmet", but the seat-back would literally have to break for that to happen, hence my curiosity. Yeah, it is all "big and RAWR" lol

I'll be the 1st to admit that with the short windshield still on, it looks goofy, but once that thing comes off, it'll look mean :D

Color for the roll bar:

Thoughts? I think it'll look good on the black car, just concerned about it turning pink over time lol

Red looks good. Put white teeth along the top of the roll bar and where the bottom of where the windshield is.

Lookin hawt :D

Only thing left to do now is pull the masking tonight off of the red bits, then mask off the roll bar so I can hit the base-plates with some black paint :)

Half finished results:

Masking off the new paint to do the mounting pads:

For the fronts, I decided to do up to the seatbelt towers in black. I wasn't able to really get a good tape job behind the bar for the red, so there were some spots w/o any paint. Painting them black lets me just go nuts w/ the paint since I'm not going to screw anything up doing so, and actually get full coverage on that piece of steel, and preventing rust.

MMMMMMMM, reminds me of the LE interior, looks soooo good :D

Sorry if I missed it, but why sooo tall?

For open top cars:

Once it's actually caged, in the future, it will need to comply with that. Hence the height.

Finally finished :D

A little overspray on the passenger side, but that shouldn't be too hard to clean up.

Not really sure what caused that wrinkling... but honestly don't really care either LOL

Regarding that overspray: I took some time to clean the car up this afternoon, pretty much all of it came up with a rag. Only a couple of spots needed some mineral spirits & rubbing alcohol to come clean. But yeah, can't WAIT to run it next weekend (nana)

New hottness:

Got a set of R-Speed hood props, only needed one. They had 'em on sale, and I wanted something lighter that would allow me to fully remove my headlight bucket. Sold! The old one's a good bit heavier too, so score on that too :)

as soon as I pick up my "new" doors (buying a pair pre-gutted from a guy locally for a song), I'll knock 'em off and have them for you. I'm not cutting up these doors... yet.

Makin a list and checking it twice ;)

Probably going to change the oil and start on the harnesses tomorrow
