CX9 NAV issue

I have a CX9 with NAV. I have noticed that my NAV keeps losing its signal and trying to acquire the signal. This means that when I have the NAV open and I'm in the process of navigating to a Destination, the screen starts flipping around it looks like I'm going in circles. Is anyone aware of any NAV issues or fixes for the similar? Thanks.

Jason,
Is there anything that may be blocking your antenna. The acquiring the signal tells me it has lost the sat lock which could mean that the signal is blocked by something on your roof.
If not than maybe the cable for the antenna is bad.

But, if the receiver loses a signal, that shouldn't cause the nav screen to go haywire. The car's dead reckoning should kick in to determine your location; you just wouldn't see the "GPS" symbol on the top left of the screen.

Isn't there a TSB for the new Tom Tom system--or is that in the CX-5?

Do you have the newer and cheaper Tom Tom system?
I don't think these new systems have dead-reckoning.
The one on my new 2014 Mazda3 is stupid. On every exit of highway, it takes it for a few seconds, and snap back onto highways.
Why? No steering angle and speed input from vehicle.
Hence, cheaper, and dumber.

On such a system, if the signal is lost, it could go any places.
Why the signal loss? It could be interference from other electronics you installed? Is there any?
I used to have a on-board DVR below the rearview mirror, when it was on, the GPS signal is gone. Once I turned it off, in a few seconds, the GPS signal came back.

Wait--what?? The in-car TomTom system on 2013+ models doesn't have dead reckoning? WHY would you want to spend the extra $$ for an in car system that doesn't do that???? Wow--it never would have occurred to me if I was buying that system that it couldn't.

I don't know for sure 'cause I don't have it.
The 2014 Mazda3 uses another vendor's. It is stupid. It can't figure out the bearing when it is not moving.
Any GPS that has dead reckoning capability is pretty good even w/o GPS signal.
Easy to find out, though. If the Tom Tom unit has VSS and steering angle inputs, then, it should be "smart".
