Hi all,
just got my CX7, didn't find this forum till after the fact. I haven't had a ticket in over 26 years, and sure enough the 3rd day of owning, got a ticket!
Will fight that one in court!!
Got an Electric Blue, Grand Touring, Moon Roof package, towing, remote start, etc.
Oh my god! I have had to drive family cars for years. Let's see, MPV, Grand Caravan, then Civic (had to let wife have the Caravan for 3 kids) so now I get the CX7!
I am having fun again after all these years, I finally like to drive again. What an f*&^%$# awesome drive. I know most of you on this forum are young, and I look like an old man in my CX7, but I don't care, this is a great ride.
Glad to be part of this forum. I like reading all of your posts.
Oh, so, anyway, I was driving in Happy Valley, Oregon, and I saw coming toward me a Black CX7, great to see my vehicle from the front side coming right at me! I like the fact that there are not many on the road, but I am sure we will be seeing a lot more. I have to think, "I got one when it was very cool"
Thanks for reading this post

Welcome!

Welcome Andy F......you do have one cool ride and why not you deserve it!! I have an RX 8 and there are not many of these on the road since it's unusual with a rotary engine. I am hoping to get the CX 7 once I sell my car and my investment property so this is why I am on this forum. I am a total Mazda enthusiast. You can't be that old! I am a 41 year old female...not old by any means but I am not in my 20's though I feel like I am!! Enjoy your ride! I have test driven 3 times and love it

Nice. welcome to the forums! I got to attack the track with a CX-7 on a pseudo-autocross course at Mazda Zoom Zoom Live Boston, and man is that a fun car. I was SHOCKED that a car that looks so big can handle the way it does.

I am new here too, but WELCOME!!! :)

On my way home from a gig the other night (around 2:00 am) I was traveling on the higway... I passed someone that I "thought" was driving too-slow, but as I got past them and looked at my speedometer... I was doing roughly 110mph... HOLY CRAP! It only felt like I was doing 60-70...!!!

I just let myself coast down to a repectable 85mph the rest of the ride home. I can see where getting tickets may be easier in this car.

Congrats on yours... enjoy in good health.

If your screen name is an indication of your age, your not 20 anymore but.. lemme tell you something........

If you want to feel young again, visit www.sportbikes.net and check out a few of the men in their mid 70's that ride the tires off their sportbikes in a manner that makes any FAST 20-30 year old sweat bullets to keep up.

Hope this makes you feel younger!! This man is in his late 60's/ early 70's.

Thanks for all of the responses,
all of you are making me feel very welcome not so old after all.. cruzdreamer, I am just ahead of you on age but I too feel like I am in my 20's especially now since, I am hopping around town in my CX7- wish I had a longer commute now! CX7 Scott... I bought my CX7 because I have lots of sound equipment for my musical group, and it all fits nicely in the CX7, plus I look like a young rocker now, even though I am an old Bluesy type player.
lllateralus-- the number in my name is the year I was born, so not quite my age. I will check out that page.. I think that is a little too "out there" for me, meaning I like a little more protection out in front of me than what a fast bike would have to offer, maybe that's because I am still too young to appreciate it. I will catch up with you though.

Thanks again, for making me feel so welcome, much appreciated!

I get ya.... and I didnt expect you to run out and purchase a bike!!!

Just showing you that your only as old as you feel! That older guy is named Howard Coleman, and is pretty popular in the street bike community.
He just absolutely rips his motorcycles up.. and he isnt exactly young anymore! (he's got a couple of decades on you!)

Anyone who owns and drives a newer Mazda is still young or at least young at heart. :D Welcome to the board!

Your a little on the young side Afrost59.

I haven't bought my cx7 yet but am dealing on one in Washington and I'm a true old fart at 60. My wife is 61 and she is the one that wants the car.
As you can see she was robin the cradle.
