CX-9 Paddle Shifters: Need Help

Hey everyone, kind of a last ditch effort to see if anyone can help here. Installed paddle shifters, like others have, they don’t work and I can’t figure out why.
They are from a Mazda 6, I’ve followed every tutorial to the letter, and even checked all connections.
Paddle buttons are tested and working, harness is in tact and has no issues.
Everyone else’s were plug and play, mine for some unknown reason just don’t work.
If anyone has any ideas I’d really appreciate it. The only thing I can possibly think of is that my software was updated to 70.0 for Apple CarPlay, not sure how it would do anything, but I’m seriously dumbfounded. Please help if you can

I've done paddle shifters in a 2014 CX-5 KE and unlike M3 it wasn't plug and play, I had to add the missing wires from the clock spring to SSU.
Below it's Mazda 3 wiring block and connectors. Verify in your car SSU 0940-103A plug have wires in locations 1L and 1N if you don't see them, that's your issue.
