cx-9 keyless remote antenna replacement

I know for a fact that if the rear antenna only is bad, and the red KEY light is illuminated, then NONE of the external buttons work. That's how my 08 GT was. I replaced just the rear antenna under the bumper and all returned to normal. It was super easy to replace - two screws and one wire clip. It's right in the center of the bumper underneath. I don't remember the part number, but I ordered it from a Mazda dealer in Birmingham, Alabama. It was around $100.

Thanks. Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. Was any programming of the antenna required? I fould the rear sntenna for $75.

I installed the rear antenna under the bumper in about 20 minutes and my valet rubber buttons on all both front doors and rear liftgate work again.

The red "KEY" light on the dash is no longer illuminated as well. Cost $75.
