My 2012 CX-9 isn't seeing either of my 2 (both have fresh or fresh-ish batteries) FOBs.
Doors won't remotely lock/unlock, and the start knob won't rotate. The mechanical key will open the doors and start the vehicle, but the FOBS have no effect on the vehichle.
There are 2 lit icons on the dash. one says KEY.
The other is a car with a pad lock.
One idea suggests the coil, antenna imobilizer (that fits there at the keyway on the column) may need to be replaced. That seems like an easy, 4-screw fix. But the part itself is $250. The other idea suggests an external key antenna has failed. Which is about half the price of the other part, and as easy to install. But I have no way of knowing which is the real culprit.
I'm considering just taking it in to a delaer. Anyone have any sure bets based on my explanation?
