so i was think that my mom should get one of these
it is so much better than that crappy Chrysler town and country van that she drives and she doesn't want a car
she wants something big like a van but not low like a car so i think that this fits that need
but i have some questions
with the turbo do you have to use premium gas and what happens if you use regular gas?
and does anyone know how much it would cost, possibly the estimate cost of a used one because my parents have this thing that they are never going to buy a new car

the vehicle REQUIRES premium gas (91 minimum). lower octane CAN be used under EMERGENCY ONLY. when running regular octane, the ecu will compensate by pulling timing and causing the vehicle to run very very conservatively and reduce performance/emmisions...

if premium is an issue, do not buy a turbocharged vehicle.

with that said, the price difference between filling identical tanks with regular vs. premium is only about $2-3 dollars per tank tops, depending on your local gas pricing.

EDIT: as far as used pricing, I would not know as Ive yet to see one used...

with the way these are selling and the availability of the base models, you should have no problem getting an EXTREMELY good deal on a new one. We are talking like under invoice by maybe 1k if ur lucky. Youd be better off buying this car new at a low APR vs finding one used and doing a used car loan. Prob be cheaper and def worth more in the end. And i see ur from Hawaii, so i dont think AWD is a necessity, which means, even more money saved on a 2wd version.

oh... AWD is ALWAYS A necessity... (glare)

and BTW, I dont know how your area is on sales, but they are actually going fairly quickly here now...

they seemed to pick up, but havent seen much recently, see the same ones most of the time. I like that tho, unlike my crv, u pass one every stop light lol

Pricing in hawaii is ridiculous. I would say not to get the cx if gas is an issue. In the end you really are not saving money by using regular compared to premium. The engine will compensate for the lower octane of regular, which makes your air fuel mixture richer, meaning you are burning more gas so initially you may have paid less for the gas but you use more so fuel economy suffers. If you are looking for used cx-7's probably need to wait another 6 months for some good deals.

thanks for all the info
shes not really in a rush to get a new car
i told her shes 50 she should have a mid life crisis or something
but my parents are just stingy and never like buy expensive crap
they just want to save and travel
i dont think that they have ever bought a car that cost more than 15k
and i dont think she will buy premium gas
so idk
