CX-7: Lost radio reception after installing iPod adapter

OK, I have no idea why this happened or how to fix it. I helped my brother install a Grom iPod adapter on his 2007 CX-7. We disconnected the battery, pulled the head unit out, plugged in the Grom, and put it all back together. Now he can't get any radio stations, it's just static. I pulled everything back apart and everything is plugged in and snug. The only plugs on the radio are the main connector, the aux connector, and the hazard light. There is no separate antenna cable, that I can see.

I reseated the plugs, double-checked the antenna on the roof, but all we get is static.

Any ideas??? I'm at a loss.

OK, I fixed it. There IS an antenna cable, the plug is next to the CD Changer/Aux port. In my brother's car, the antenna cable was bound together and so short that it came unplugged as soon as I pulled the radio out. I had to the tape binding the cable together to make it long enough to plug back in. I couldn't find the cable, at first, because it's covered with the same foam as all the other cables and had fallen to the back; it didn't even look like it belonged to the radio.

FYI, you may want to post in the CX7 forum from now on. These cars are not as similar as they appear.

Glad you found the problem. Have to pay attention when you take things apart.
